Glenroy Marsh, Chief Executive Officer, Founding Designer at D'Marsh Couture began his career with Thinking Fashion Since 2003. D'March Coutoure has an eye for detail and perfection, March honed his design skills at the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, obtaining practical experience while working in the costume department. The formation of House of D’Marsh has given March the opportunity to marry sophistication with fashion-forward sensibility. As a recipient of the 2008 McDonald’s Designer of the Year Award and as Jamaica’s youngest representative at the internationally renowned fashion competition; the “Total Look Award” in Toronto, Canada; March has long created a pathway for incredible service in the fashion industry.
Since 2003, House of D’Marsh has grown into a lifestyle brand creating a synergistic blend of structure and design manifested in its couture and ready-to-wear collections. March splits his time between his two brands, D’Marsh Couture and the Ready-to-Wear line, D’M by D’Marsh, but skillfully manages his time to continue his work as a sort after stylist. The House of D’Marsh creative chief lists fashion designers Valentino, Coco Chanel and Alexander McQueen among his inspiration.
The brand is not only focused on creating couture for both men and women, but using the medium of fashion to positively make an impact through its corporate social responsibility initiative-- Hope by KDO, a collection designed in collaboration with Jamaican supermodels Oraine Barrett and Korey Rowe to benefit childhood cancer. The designer has also served as guest lecturer at a number of institutions including Fashion Institute of Technology, Philadelphia University and NYU.
Since 2019, March has extended his focus to include a successful Masterclass series. March describes the series as intimate, interactive and purposeful. March takes participants behind the scenes to share his personal industry experiences on navigating the pros and cons, the failures and the successes, mistakes made and the lessons he has learnt throughout his journey. Attendees interact directly with D’Marsh, because of his hands-on approach to learning and participation.
